Celebrating the Diversity of
Jewish Life in Silicon Valley

Jewbilee is an idea, an experience, and the embodiment of the belief that for at least a day, the larger Jewish Community can come together under one roof, despite our many differences, and celebrate being Jewish and what that means to each of us.

Through presentations, classes, workshops, performances, speakers and panel discussions, we will spend the entire day immersed in discovery. As participants move from program block to program block, Jewbilee is designed to facilitate self reflection and growth. Throughout the day opportunities will be provided for participants to step out of their comfort zones. Go to a presentation you would otherwise have skipped. Participate in a discussion that pushes to re-imagine what you already know.

It is when we join together as a community that we are afforded the greatest chance to affect the lives of others as well as ourselves. We all have stories to share. Jewbilee is the place where the Jewish Community of the greater Bay Area has been invited to come and to share those stories.

Through a diverse program line up -- including Rabbis from all Jewish denominations, Professors from many of the Universities and Colleges of the Bay Area, Students, Teachers, Artists, and Performers -- our goal is to present a diversity of Jewish beliefs, political orientations, cultures, and experiences through a program that is an expression of the real Jewish Landscape.

Jewbliee is a day to try on a different Jewish hat; a new idea, a new practice, a new conversation.
